Student Registration

  • Loudoun County Public Schools (LCPS) began accepting Online Pre-Registrations for the 2024-2025 school year at 8:00 a.m. on February 1, 2024. Only students who are not currently enrolled in LCPS need to register. Enrolled students have already be rolled into their school for the next school year. Registration for the current school year is ongoing. Be sure to choose the correct school year from the drop-down on the form; if a parent submits a registration for the wrong school year, the Registrar is required to deny that registration and have the parent submit a registration for the correct school year.

Riverside's Registrar is Ms. Kathy Jackson. You can reach her via email at or by phone at 703-554-8907, option 1.

For all students requiring registration, whether they were previously enrolled in LCPS or not, please complete the ONLINE Registration Form. If your student has never attended LCPS, you will need to create a new account, and then you will be prompted to continue with your registration. If you currently have or have ever had an LCPS ParentVUE account, use your ParentVUE username and password to log into the registration portal.

After you complete the form online, if your address falls within the Riverside boundary, the Riverside Registrar will review what you’ve submitted and contact you to set a time to meet to continue the process. (If your address is in a different school’s boundary, the Registrar for that school will contact you.) You will need to bring a parent/guardian original photo ID and the student’s original birth certificate to the meeting.

Documentation Required

    • Student’s Original Birth Certificate*
    • Parent/Guardian Original Photo ID
    • Proof of Residency** (entire signed lease, deed, or settlement papers with parent's name)
    • Page one of the Health Form completed by a parent (see Documents to the right for this form)

    • Completed Records Request Form (so we can request official records from the school the student previously attended-see Documents to the right for this form)

  • *An original certified birth certificate is required. If an original birth certificate is not available, an affidavit substantiating the information is required. This form is available from the Registrar upon request.
**Proof of residency: Parents of enrolling students need to prove legal residency in Loudoun County by providing a deed, settlement statement, mortgage statement, or lease agreement for the address at which they report to live. If a family is living in the residence of a friend or relative, provide a completed, notarized Shared Housing form. They must also provide a deed or lease for the address at which the family is reported to live. In addition, the enrolling parent may be asked to provide additional documentation to verify the stated address, e.g.: driver's license, motor vehicle registration, Virginia Voter Registration card, a bank statement, payroll check or check stub issued by an employer, state or federal income tax records or W-2 forms, utility bills such as gas, water, electric, or phone. Any person who knowingly makes a false statement concerning the residency of a child, for the purposes of avoiding tuition or enrollment in a school outside of the attendance zone in which the child resides, shall be guilty of a Class 4 misdemeanor.
