FUSION

Hello Families,

I hope this email finds you well.  I am Mrs. Bowers, your child's Gifted Resource Teacher. 

The Gifted Program at Cardinal Ridge is a school-based program.  It is called FUSION.  This model provides gifted services for 4^th and 5^th grade students who were found eligible.  

To describe these services, I collaborate with the classroom teacher to challenge GT learners in their regular classrooms by doing extended lessons in Math and Language Arts.  These lessons were developed for gifted learners to extend and enrich classroom lessons (e.g., William & Mary Literature Units, Jacob's Ladder, and Mentoring Mathematical Minds). 

GT students in 4^th and 5th grade at CRE will also meet during the week (2 hours) with other gifted learners to collaborate on a variety of challenging, interdisciplinary projects.
