Mrs. Shafi

My name is Shamima Shafi.  This is my first year at Park View as a Math teacher.  Previously, I taught as a Learning Resource Teacher-Math at Stone Bridge High School for 8 years . Prior to Stone Bridge HS, I taught at Sterling Elementary school for three years.  I obtained a Bachelor of Science in Management Information System from University of Texas at Arlington and a Master of Special Education from George Mason University. During my teaching career, I have taught Algebra 1, Algebra 2, FADA, and Geometry. This school year, I am teaching  three Algebra 1 classes and three Algebra 2 classes

I live in Ashburn with my family. My older daughter  graduated from in Virginia Tech and the youngest daughter is a first grader at Waxpool Elementary -LCPS.

Reading books, listening to music, and traveling are my passions. My students are my inspiration and every day I learn something new from them.
