Ms. Baxter

Greetings Discovery Trailblazers and Families, 

My name is Ms. Baxter and I am Kindergarten and 1st grade's Special Education Teacher and one of 2nd and 5th grade's Special Education Teacher for the 2021-2022 academic school year. 

I hold a Bachelor's in Psychology and a Master's of Education in Health Education and Promotion from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and a Master's of Arts in Teaching in Special Education PreK-12 with a concentration in Science from the University of West Gerogia.  I taught in Alabama, Georgia, Colorado, and Virigina.  I previously taught grades Kindergarten-4, 6-8, and 10-12. This is my fourth year at Discovery Elementary School. Prior to teaching, I was a Disease Health Manager, Program Coordinator in Neurology, and an Employment Specialist for individuals with disabilities.  

I look forward to a year of growth and excitment.
