Ms. Cinde Eash Wollenberg

Cinde Eash Wollenberg, Reading Specialist

Ms. Cinde Wollenberg serves as the Reading Specialist and teaches Reading Foundations and 21st Century Literacy.  While at Indy you will also find her delving into reading data, running small pull out groups, completing individual assessments for students who may need intervention, working with classroom teachers in all departments, teaming with the library to promote literacy, monitoring the Indy Honor System Library and, of course, reading!   

Ms. Wollenberg grew up in Western PA, but has lived in the Shenandoah Valley for most of her adult life.  She received a BA in English  and a BA in Vocal Music from Chatham College in Pittsburgh, PA and holds a Masters in Reading from UVA. Prior to working for Loudoun County, Ms. Wollenberg worked in Rockingham County and Shenandoah County.  She has spent over twenty years in education as a classroom English teacher and a Reading Specialist.  She has taught all levels of English Language Arts students from grades 6-12.   She is a Master Teacher for the Virginia New Teacher Support Program, and has completed VDOE micro credentials in Gifted Education and Teaching with Empathy.  When she’s not in school she loves to adventure with her family and be outside with her dog.   Being the Reading Specialist at IHS is her dream job and coming to work is a joy every day!
