Hello! My name is Anne Buttarazzi, and I am thrilled to be joining Sterling Elementary as the ECSE teacher this year! After a career on Capitol Hill and taking some time off to be a stay-at-home-mom, I began working for Fairfax County Public Schools in 2014, first in the Preschool Autism Class program, and later in the Preschool Class-Based program as a ECSE teacher.
I received my BA in Political Science and Communication from Tulane University, and my M.Ed. in Early Childhood Special Education from George Mason University. I am passionate about early intervention and providing children with tools to be confident, responsible, and successful in the classroom.
I live in Reston and am the proud mom to three adult children. I love history, reading, architecture and rescuing old, large black labs. I am so excited for this school year and the privilege of teaching your children!
Hi, my name is China Nicholson and I’m the new ECSE TA. This will be my 9th year teaching in LCPS all of which have been in ECSE. However, this will be my first year at Sterling and I’m excited to meet and get to know everyone in our class.
I very much love Sterling and all the teachers who teach here. Both my children attended school here and I can’t wait to be part of the Sterling community.
