Welcome to First Grade!

My name is Maddie Brown and I can't wait to be your child's first grade teacher! I am a graduate from James Madison University (Go Dukes!) where I received my Bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Liberal Studies and my Master's degree in Elementary Education. This will be my third year at Countryside!

When not in school, I spend much of my time with Jojo, my rescue pup! I love rainy days, rewatching Frozen 2 (for the millionth time), baking all sorts of treats, and drinking coffee. 

I believe in inspiring students to find boldness in their academic and individual identities within a compassionate and warm environment.
