Mrs. Palak Shah

Hello! I am honored to be teaching at CRE community this school year!

My name is Palak Shah, and I am very excited about being your child’s first grade teacher this year! First grade is so much fun and I know we are going to have a great year together!

Here is a little about me: This is my third-year teaching at Cardinal Ridge Elementary but my ninth-year teaching young children. I graduated with my Masters in Elementary Education from Long Island University, NY and a Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education from India. I have taught and substituted preschool, Kindergarten, first, and fifth grade in Fairfax and Loudoun County.

I live in Brambleton with my wonderful husband, Dharmesh, and my amazing daughter Khushi, who will be in 7th grade this year. In my free time I love spending time with my family and friends, reading, relaxing on any beach, baking and trying out different recipes, going on long drives and being outdoors.

 My goal as a teacher is to create a comfortable, fun, and loving environment where my students can grow as learners. I believe all children have their own abilities that they will discover, and I will nurture them by providing them with the right tools to be successful. This is the beginning of a long journey in their education, so I will work hard to ensure that they have a strong foundation of skills, both academic and social. We will be partners in making this journey a success. If they leave first grade with a positive attitude towards learning, self-confidence, friendships, and academic skills, then I will know I have accomplished my goal. I look forward to working with you and your child this school year.
