Ms. Jennifer Pitzen

I am honored to return for my third year at Cardinal Ridge Elementary. I taught first grade in previous years and look forward to a new challenge of teaching fifth grade for the 2022/23 school year. In addition to teaching both at the elementary and secondary levels in the private and public sectors, I also taught in the corporate realm. I presented in-service training for the local school district and served an appointment to the California State Board of Education. I was a National Director of Player Development for the United States Tennis Association, a paralegal in corporate law, and am still a practicing state certified doula.

I am a native Californian, having come to Virginia in 2017 to be near my grandchildren. I now have 6 grandchildren among my 3 daughters, with #7 arriving in February, 2023. I have enjoyed participating in sports since my youth, including water and snow skiing, kayaking, sailing, crew, surfing, hiking, biking, tennis and, most recently, have taken up pickleball. I am a voricious reader and world traveller.

I welcome the experience of sharing this educational journey with all of my scholars and their families. I am thankful for the joy of spending my days with curious minds.
