Ms. Harveen Pantleay
Ms. Pantleay is looking forward to starting her second year as a school social worker at River Bend Middle School! Ms. Pantleay grew up in Sterling and graduated from Park View High School. She received her bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Sociology from Virginia Tech. Ms. Pantleay received her master’s degree in Social Work with a specialization in children, youth, and families from George Mason University in the Spring of 2022. Ms. Pantleay was a school social work intern with LCPS previously and is excited to continue to advocate and support students in this district.In her free time, Ms. Pantleay loves to read, listen to music, go to local coffee shops, spend time with her family and friends, and cheer on the Hokies!
As a school social worker, Ms. Pantleay will serve as a link between home, school, and the community to provide services to help support student’s academic and social success. She will work alongside the Unified Mental Health Team to provide prevention and intervention supports and services through individual counseling, groups, and presentations. Ms. Pantleay strives to help parents, students, and school staff identify social, emotional, and behavioral challenges through comprehensive sociocultural assessments, collaboration, and restorative practices.
