Kellie Green
Greetings Legacy Labradors!
My name is Kellie Green and this is my 3rd year at Legacy Elementary. I graduated from Shippensburg University in Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and earned my Master’s Degree in Reading and Literacy from Walden University. For 19 years, I taught in Fauquier County (5 years in 3rd grade and 14 years in kindergarten). 3 years ago I joined LCPS as a kindergarten teacher at Cardinal Ridge Elementary. I am excited about starting my 23rd year of teaching!
When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I love cooking and finding new recipes to try out. I think I have found a good balance of Pinterest fails and successes! I also love to travel and explore new places. The beach is my happy place and I try to get there at least once a year.
I am looking forward to meeting and working with the Kindergarten Labs and their families this year. One of my biggest goals is to create a safe and caring learning community where children support and encourage each other so everyone feels comfortable taking risks and making mistakes so they can grow and learn. I’m looking forward to meeting and working with everyone very soon!
