Degrees and Certifications:
To Our Amazing Moorefield Station Elementary Community,
My name is Paula Williams, and it is my honor to be your new principal! I am so excited to join this wonderful school community, and I look forward to the opportunity to meet you as we take our next steps into the future together.
I am coming to Loudoun County Public Schools from Prince William County Schools. During my time with PWCS, I had the privilege of serving as the Assistant Principal of two great elementary school communities. I was the Assistant Principal of Alvey Elementary School for two years and West Gate Elementary School for four years. Before that, I worked for the Office of Special Education as an Interventionist for two years, and prior to that, I was an ESOL Teacher at Glenkirk Elementary School for five years.
I have also had the pleasure of being an Adjunct ESL Instructor at Northern Virginia Community College and a part-time ESL teacher with Fairfax County Public Schools.
I received my undergraduate degree in History from Longwood University, my Master’s in Education in Teaching English as a Second Language from Marymount University, and my certification in Administration and Supervision from the University of Virginia. I also recently completed a two-year leadership development program through the University of Virginia’s SCOPE Program (Statewide Communities of Practice for Excellence).
I am a wife and proud mom of two incredible young men. My older son is entering his senior year in college, and my younger son is entering his senior year in high school. In my free time, I enjoy being with my family and friends, traveling, reading, and just enjoying life.
My core values as your principal revolve around ensuring that every scholar that enters our amazing school receives high quality instruction that meets their needs in an environment that is caring and committed to whole-child success. I am committed to continuing the rich and proud traditions already in place at Moorefield Station Elementary School and building our new traditions together.
I am looking forward to a phenomenal year together!
Your Proud Principal,
Paula Williams, M.Ed.
Every day is a Fresh Opportunity to do Great Things!
