Mrs. Meisenheimer

My name is Mrs. Meisenheimer (My-zen-hi-mer) and I am thrilled to join Arcola Elementary as an English Learner teacher this year! I will primarily be working with kindergarten and second grade. I have ten years of teaching experience and previously taught second grade and fourth grade in Fairfax County Public Schools before becoming a Reading teacher in Loudoun County Public Schools. I attended James Madison University (GO DUKES!) where I earned a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction. I later attended Virginia Tech where I earned an Educational Specialist degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies. I am a lifelong learner and am dedicated to continuing my education.

I am a proud Loudoun County native and I still reside in the county. I love living in Northern Virginia and spend much of my free time exploring the area with my husband and one year old son. I also enjoy photography, sports, arts and crafts and outdoor adventures. I am an animal lover and have an english mastiff and bull mastiff; both of whom are gentle giants.

Building relationships with students and families in order to create a solid foundation for quality learning is my passion as an educator. I look forward to meeting you and to having an amazing year as an Arcola Dragon!
