    About Dave
    Mr. Ungrady in 2021 begins his seventh year as a teacher, six at Douglass School. He has worked for some 35 years as a career journalist. His work has appeared in the Washington Post, the New York Times and USA Today, and on ESPN, CNN, NBC and Voice of America. He is the author of four books on sports and is the founder of the Born Ready Project, which teaches life skills to teenagers and young adults. 

    Dave is a graduate of the University of Maryland, where he received a B.S. in Journalism and was a member of the soccer and track and field teams. Dave was recently elected into the Athetics Hall of Fame at Notre Dame High School (Trenton, N.J.), where he was all state in soccer and track and field, and played for the school's basketball team as well. He is a professional youth coach with Bethesda Soccer and is the president of GoGrady Media, which manages Dave’s journalism and speaking projects.
