Mrs. Wendy Adler

My name is Wendy Adler and I am so excited to be with the EL department as a Lowes Island Leopard!  This will my third year at Lowes Island in the EL department, but with Loudoun County for the last 18 years. In addition to EL, I have taught preschool, kindergarten, first, second, and third grades.  I have an undergraduate degree from New York in Elementary Education with a focus on Educational Psychology and Child Development. Upon moving to Virginia, I grew fascinated with how learners acquire the English Language and received a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction in English Language along with a subsequent endorsement in Education Administration. I am passionate about inspiring love and curiosity by reading and writing and helping children find a voice to express their unique perspective. Apart from school, I am a mom to two daughters; one entering High School in LCPS and one attending college at JMU.  I look forward to meeting, working, and learning with second and fourth graders this year!  Please feel at ease contacting me with questions, concerns, and successes  @ Wendy.Adler@lcps.org

Enthusiastically,
Wendy Adler
