Third Grade

Hello! My name is Lakin Williams and I am excited to be at Horizon Elementary this year! This will be my 7th year of teaching at LCPS. I taught for 5 years at Ashburn Elementary, then I became a stay at home mom. I have three children who all attended Horizon Elementary. Three years ago I was a long term substitute at Horizon Elementary in 2nd grade. Then, for the past two years, I was the STEM teacher at Rolling Ridge Elementary.

I graduated from the College of Charleston with a Bachelor of Science in Special Education. Then I earned a dual Master of Education in Special Education and Early Childhood Education from the University of Charleston. Recently I have completed courses to add an Elementary Education endorsement to my teaching license.

I have lived in Sterling, Virginia since 1998. In my free time, I enjoy reading, cooking, spending time with my family, and going for walks in Loudoun County’s many regional parks!  I look forward to meeting you and having you in our class!
