    Welcome Notes from Freshman Mentors

Hi! I am a Junior here at Briar Woods. I know things are very different this year in comparison to years in the past, but we are dedicated to making it count. I am a member of the Color Guard along with being a part of Educators Rising and SAPT here at the school. We are so happy to have y’all here and hope you enjoy your freshman year!

Hi, and welcome to Briar Woods! I’m Natalie, and I’m a rising senior and have attended Briar for the past three years. I remember being in your position when I first entered high school and I had so many questions about literally everything. I would love to help be a part of your freshman year and answer any questions you may have! A little bit about me is that I have been a part of the Varsity Cheer team since my freshman year, the INOVA hospital helpers club, falcon serve, and many more. I strongly encourage getting involved in anything you can here at Briar Woods because our school has so much to offer! Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you need anything!

Hello, everyone!! My name is Lauren and I am a rising senior. I moved here from the hot state of Georgia last year, and I was only able to attend Briar for 1 month and ½, so just like you all, I am kind of new to the school, but I already feel like it’s gonna be great! I am interested in studying the brain so I can one day become a neurologist or a neuropsychologist. I also play volleyball and love it. I want you all to know that even though you might be scared and nervous...you shouldn’t be! High School is a roller coaster that you’ll love! (Sometimes.)
