Degrees and Certifications:
Hi! My name is JoAnne Ozark, and this is my second year as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) at Guilford Elementary, and my tenth with Loudoun County.
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Education of the Speech and Hearing Handicapped at the State University of New York (SUNY) College at Fredonia. I continued and earned my Master of Science degree from SUNY Fredonia.
I have my Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech, Language, and Hearing Association (ASHA) and am licensed by the Commonwealth of Virginia to provide speech and language therapy in the public school system.
I have worked in Virginia, New York, and Florida as a fully licensed SLP. I have worked in elementary, middle, and high schools, preschools, daycares, hospitals, clinics, and nursing homes. I previously worked at the Buffalo Hearing and Speech Center with children and adults in both clinical and school settings. Before then I spent three years working as an SLP at Rosa Lee Carter Elementary School, here in Loudoun County.
While Central New York is where I grew up, Northern Virginia has certainly become my home. I look forward to a great school year with all our students! If you need to get in touch with me, please call the school at 571-434-4550 or click here to email me.
