Shelley began her career at South Lakes High School teaching Business and CTE for three years.  During this time, she discovered her love for students with disabilities, and went back to school to earn her Master's Degree in Special Education, specifically Moderate to Severe Disabilities.  She then spent the next 7 years teaching these special students at South Lakes High School.

Shelley moved to John Champe High School in it's second year (2013), and is loving her time as a Knight!  She teaches students with Intellectual and Multiple Disabilities, and has enjoyed watching the program grow!

Shelley is also the Varsity Cheerleading Coach at Champe, and enjoys spending time with her team throughout the year.  She lives one mile from the school, and enjoys her time not at Champe with her husband, two sons, and puppy.
