Mr. Bryan Pecoraro - 8th Grade Counselor
I grew up on Long Island in a town called Lake Ronkonkoma, New York. Though I enjoyed my time cheering on the Yankees, Jets, and eating the best pizza, I thought it would be great to "get out there" and see the rest of the world.
I received my Bachelor’s Degree in psychology from James Madison University (GO DUKES!) and from there worked as a mental health counselor in Maryland. In 2008 I completed my Masters of Education in counseling at George Mason University and in 2009 was hired as a full time counselor here in Loudoun County at an elementary school. I look forward to now serving the families of Harmony Middle School!
Now that I have completed my Ph.D. in counseling, you can find me going to concerts, listening to music, or drumming along to hits of the 80’s/90's in my house. If not, then I most likely at the movies or enjoying the many culinary establishments that Virginia has to offer.

Mrs. Christy Pierson - 7th Grade Counselor
My name is Christy Pierson and I will be the 7th grade School Counselor this year. I grew up in West Virginia and attended Concord College for my undergraduate degree, earning a Bachelor of Social Work . I then completed a Master of Social Work Degree from West Virginia University and a Master's Degree in School Counseling K-12 from Marshall University. I have had the pleasure of serving as a school counselor in K-12 settings for 21 years. Prior to becoming a school counselor, I was employed for 12 years in the mental health field. My husband and I are the proud parents of two grown sons, Braden and Conner, and the most precious granddaughter, Avery. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with family, spoiling our granddaughter, and interior decorating.
I joined the Harmony Counseling Department in the Fall of 2018 and look forward to continuing my partnership with students and parents as they move into 7th grade. This will be an amazing 23-24 year!
