Mr. Jeff Rutledge

I am very excited to be entering my fourth year at Independence as a Social Sciences teacher, where I will be teaching 9th grade World History I and Geography and 12th grade U.S. & VA Government.  This year will be my 27th year teaching in Loudoun County and 28th in education.  Before coming to Independence, I taught at Willard Intermediate School, Mercer Middle School, Farmwell Station Middle School, and as a Special Education Paraprofessional at George Mason Middle School.  I earned my PreK-12 Educational Administration & Leadership certificate from George Washington University and an M.Ed. and B.S. degree from Old Dominion University.
