     Preseason news and information for 2012

 Summer preseason begins June 11th. Specific days- Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, from 4:00pm till 6:00pm each week. All girls who will be attending Loudoun Valley in the fall may now attend the preseason sessions. Every participant in summer preseason is required to have a current (dated May 1st or later) VHSL recognized physical and current emergency card with insurance information on file with the coach/school.  These forms and all forms necessary for tryouts this fall may be downloaded from the LVHS Atheltic Department web site.      

Viking volleyball clinic for rising 7th, 8th and 9th graders will run the week of June 11th through the 15th, from 6:30 till 8:30 pm. The clinic will be held at Loudoun Valley High School. See Parks and Rec website for registration and details.

 

Team camp information- Team camp will be held at Juniata College, PA. The dates of the camp are July 27th, 28th and 29th. Interested returning team players should contact Coach Johnson for camp information. ALL REGISTRATIONS must take place on line through the Juniata College volleyball camps website. Participants will need to bring their $190.00 registration payment to Coach Johnson Checks are to be made out to Juniata College.

 

Fall tryout dates- First day of tryouts for all 3 teams will be Tuesday, July 31st, from 8:30 am - 12:30 pm. Tryouts on Wednesday and Thursday will be from 8:30 till 10:30 am. Tryouts (and team selection letters) on Friday will be from 8:30 till 10:30 am. There will be a minimum of 3 tryout days.

All interested girls planning on trying out need to remember to take care of all vacation plans BEFORE the tryout dates and the start of the season. No absences from practice will be granted for vacation purposes once the season begins. The season begins on the first day of tryouts.
