Degrees and Certifications:

Kelly Ahn

I am excited to be an EL teacher at Creighton's Corner Elementary School!  I received my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education from of the University of Scranton. I received my Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a Reading concentration from George Mason University.

My teaching career began at Nanakuli Elementary School in Hawaii, where I taught third grade. After moving to Northern Virginia, I worked at Braddock Elementary School in Fairfax County for seven years, teaching first grade and working as a Reading Specialist and Reading Recovery teacher.  Following my move to Loudoun County, I took a hiatus from teaching to raise my two sons.  I returned to work in 2014, teaching English Language and Adult Basic Education for LCPS. In 2018, I shifted back to Elementary education. I served as a long-term substitute for special education, a Reading Specialist, and an EL teacher at Creighton's Corner. I have loved teaching here!

My son Samuel is a seventh grader at Brambleton Middle School and Eli is a fifth grader at CCE!

I am looking forward to meeting this next wonderful group of students and making it a memorable year.
