Ms. Amy Emery
Ms. Emery is excited to be starting her 9th year as a Student Assistance Specialist (SAS) with Loudoun County Public Schools. Her primary role is providing substance use prevention and intervention at both the middle and high school level in Western Loudoun. As a member of the Unified Mental Health Team at Woodgrove, she also works with the school counseling department to provide mental health support to students. Ms. Emery has been working in the field of addiction and mental health awareness for 18 years.
Prior to coming to Woodgrove, Ms. Emery worked at Loudoun County Mental Health as a counselor for 10 years. Ms. Emery has a B.S. in Sociology from The University of Mary Washington, an M.A. in Sociology from The Ohio State University, an M.Ed. from Virginia Tech and is a Licensed Professional Counselor. She is also a trainer and facilitator of Restorative Practices circles and conferencing and leads RP initiatives for LCPS.
