Annual Online Verification Process:
For the 2020-2021 school year, Loudoun County Public Schools (LCPS) has implemented a new Online Verification process (OLVP) for updating and maintaining accurate student information in Phoenix. The new process will utilize ParentVUE, the online tool that most of our families use regularly to track the latest grades, attendance and report cards related information regarding their students. With online verification, families will now be able to update information for each of their students through the ParentVUE account at the beginning of the school year. As a result, at least one parent or guardian will need to have an active ParentVUE account to update the information pertaining to their student(s).

Why are we moving to a new process?
LCPS is transitioning to have a less-paper system to better manage and to gather, track and maintain most accurate student data effectively. This new process will allow LCPS to achieve:
- Accuracy of vital student information, including emergency contacts;
- Gathering any changes to students’ health and medical details
- Decrease the amount of time school staff spends on organizing and collecting the paper forms and increase the time to directly support families.

How can I access Online Verification?
Online Verification is available to existing families via the Parent Portal. Use the Parent portal login page and use your ParentVUE userid and password to login.
Upon logging in, select Online Verification from the Online Process drop down menu. This process will allow you to review and update your contact information, emergency contact details and your student information via multiple screens. Make sure that you complete the verification for all your students.

Can I complete online verification on my mobile device?
Online Verification is currently not supported on mobile devices. If needed, you can work with the school to complete the Online Verification Process on the computer.

What is the timeline in completing the Online Verification Process?
Online Verification process will start Aug 28th. The option will be available to families till 25th September.

What if I forgot my ParentVUE userid and / or password?
You have the ability to reset your own password using these directions.
In the ParentVUE Account Access screen:
- Click More Information.
- Select Forgot Password.
- Enter your email address associated with the account.
- An email message will be sent to that e-mail address with a link to RESET the password.
Clicking on the link in the email takes you to the Change Password screen where you must enter your First Name, Last Name and the new password.
You must enter your First Name and Last Name EXACTLY as it appears in your ParentVUE account to reset your password.
If you are unable to access the email account, please contact the ParentVUE support contact at your child’s school. -
Can I use the same login and password to complete the verification for all my children?
Yes. After you have logged in to ParentVUE, and selected Online Verification option, in the student grid, you will see all your children who will be attending Loudoun County Schools in the current year.
If you do not see all your children in the student grid, please contact the ParentVUE support contact at your child’s school.

Do both parents have to complete the Online Verification?
No. Only one parent / guardian per family will need to complete Online Verification for all children.

Who should I contact if I have questions?
You must have an active ParentVUE account to complete the Online Verification process. If you have questions about your account, please contact the ParentVUE support at your child’s school.

Can I log out and start the process again when I have more time?
Yes, you can. Online Verification process allows you to save the data as you review / update the information. When you log back in the next time, after initial selection screen, it will ask you to “Resume Verification”. Clicking on Resume Verification will allow you to continue from where you left off.

What information will I be able to update for my student?
You will be able to update the following information for all students
- Oral and Written communication Language for parent / guardian
- Parent/Guardian contact information
- Emergency Contacts
- Health Conditions
- Medications for the student
- Various permissions for school district including photo / video participation, weather calls, Family-Life education, access to direction information for military recruiters and non-school officials etc.
- After school dismissal information for elementary students
- Early dismissal pick up information
For the rest of the information that you are not able to edit via the Online Verification, such as home address, student demographic details etc, contact your students' school and wtih necessary documentation, and the school support staff will be able to complete the edits.
