Ms. Ross is very excited  about a very positive, productive and energetic start to the new year.
"Our new and returning teachers are very excited about the 2019-2020 school year as we enter our 58th year as a high school in our community!
I challenge each of us to continue to communicate and collaborate as we innovate and create new and engaging approaches to learning. This will be our best year ever!
"We have so much going on in our school community!  From our global awareness and international initiatives to our school based community service projects, we are a school focused on our community:  On service, citizenship, integrity, and excellence.  Our culture is a culture of learning - learning for everyone including students, teachers, staff, administrators, and parents.
"We are focusing on gains in deeper learning for each individual student from day to day. Collectively these gains continue to contribute to our high performance across the board and serve to earn us high recognition marks as a high school. We strive to ensure that each and every student is learning to his/her full potential in a safe and orderly environment that supports communication, collaboration, creativity, criticial thinking and informed citizenship.
"We believe in continuous improvement and we work together daily using a collaborative model at Valley. We are proud of our combination of creative innovations and our rich and outstanding academic and extracurricular traditions.
Let's remember that our collaborative conversations collectively define us...so we always work to keep the focus on constructive and continuous improvement-improvement that is focused on learning.
"I look forward to another great year of continuing to serve our Valley students, faculty, parents, and community."
