Mr. Jeremy Cortash - Assistant Principal

  • I am proud to serve as an assistant principal at Lightridge High School and as a charter member of the Lightridge team.  I am in the tenth year of school administration and fifth year with Loudoun County Public Schools.  Prior to my time at Lightridge, I had the pleasure of serving as an assistant principal at Rock Ridge High School and Gar-Field High School in the Prince William County School Division. I have earned a Bachelor of Arts in History and Social Sciences, a Master of Science in Education Middle Childhood and Adolescence Education 5-12, and a Master of Education in Educational Leadership.  Prior to my experience in school administration, I was a proud social studies teacher and served as the Student Activities Leadership Council teacher, SCA sponsor, Healthy Communities Healthy Youth Advisor, Students LEAD Team sponsor, National Honor Society advisor, and Boys JV and Varsity Lacrosse coach.

When not working, I love spending time with my family, dog, traveling, hiking, enjoying the outdoors, and reading.

I am eager to work as a partner in education with our students and parents and I look forward each day to building relationships with our students, parents and staff. Please feel free to contact me via email or by phone at 571-367-4100.
