Ms. Georgina Bingaman

Ms Bingaman is native of Punxsutawney, PA. She is a veteran of the United States Air Force where she worked as a Contract Administrator at Norton Air Force Base in Southern California. She earned a Bachelors of Science degree in Industrial Technology and Manufacturing Engineering from Southern Illinois University College of Engineering in Carbondale, Illinois. After working in the aerospace industry in Southern California for several years, Ms Bingaman ventured back to the east coast to earn a Bachelors of Arts degree in English and to fulfill her teaching credentials from Shenandoah University in 2000; finally pursuing her heart’s desire to become a teacher. She began teaching Technology Education in 2000 and went on to earn her Masters degree from Virginia Tech in Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in Integrated STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) Education in 2009.

Ms. Bingaman works closely with the NASA/Virginia Aerospace Science and Technology Scholars (VASTS) Academy located at Langley Air Force Base in Hampton VA to enhance the Aerospace curriculum. She works with NASA education specialists, scientists, engineers, technologists, and of course, astronauts to deliver a special program for our juniors here at Woodgrove. She is now teaching Cybersecurity and Aerospace Engineering I and II.

She is also our Technology Student Association (TSA) advisor.
