As of August 31, 2020, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) released a second round of waivers to continue supporting access to nutritious meals while minimizing potential exposure to COVID-19. As a result, Loudoun County School Nutrition Services is able to provide children and teens, 18 years or younger, and any student enrolled in LCPS that may be over the age of 18, will continue to have access to a free breakfast and lunch meal.
Beginning Monday, February 1, 2021, delivery of school meals will be limited to Mondays only with all meals (Breakfast, Lunch, Snack, Supper) for the week (Monday through Sunday) delivered on Mondays. The decision to limit meal delivery to weekly on Mondays was based on the need to keep students engaged in learning throughout the day on Tuesdays through Friday.
Weekly delivery of meals for the month of February will occur as follows:
- Monday, February 1 – Meals for Monday, Feb 1 – Sunday, Feb 7 (7 days)
- Monday, February 8 – Meals for Monday, Feb 8 – Monday, Feb 15 (8 days)
- Tuesday, February 16 *– Meals for Tuesday, February 16 – Sunday, February 21 (6 days)
- Monday, February 22 – Meals for Monday, Feb 22 – Sunday, Feb 28 (7 days)
