• COVID-19 Resources

    A few important highlights:

    • School is closed for the remainder of the 2019-2020 school year.
    • Meals are provided at John Champe HS from 10am-1pm Monday-Friday and at designated bus stops (see information below).
    • There is a LCPS Hotline (571-252-6499, live person) for anyone who has questions about COVID-19 impact on LCPS, Monday - Friday 8am-5pm or you may visit https://www.lcps.org/COVID19
    • LCPS has developed a website for families with resources that can be used with students to reinforce skills and knowledge that have been previously taught (https://www.lcps.org/ContinuityOfEducation

    Food Resources

    LCPS School Based Meals

    Loudoun County School Nutrition Services (SNS) is supporting families by continuing to provide meal service in our school communities while schools are closed. SNS staff will serve free breakfast and lunch daily at John Champe HS during the period of school closure. Meal service will run from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.  Meals will be distributed outside the back of JCHS near the cafeteria loading dock. Students must be present to receive meals.

    LCPS School Bus Delivered Meals

    LCPS is also using our school bus fleet to increase the availability of meal service to students that rely on schools for meal support. Please see the interactive map ndicating the locations and scheduled times of “meal stops." You may also use the Here Comes the Bus app for real time bus locations. Please arrive at the meal stops early to ensure buses can remain on schedule.

    Mobile Hope Delivered Meals

    The Mobile Hope bus is delivering food, hygeine products and diapers to stops within the county. Please see the flyer for times and locations. (Note the bus is no longer stopping in South Riding, but has added a stop in Chantilly)

    Dulles South Food Pantry

    The Dulles South Food Pantry provides a weekly food distribution on Wednesdays. Appointments can be made by emailing info@dsfp.org or calling 703-507-2795. If you were receiving LCPS free lunch, an additional food pack will be added to your distribution by showing proof of free lunch status or having your Parent Liaison (Suzanne Lyles) email the pantry on your behalf. 

    Women Giving Back
    Women Giving Back is distributing food boxes on Saturday mornings from 9:00 to 11:00am on a first come, first served basis. Their address is 20 Export Drive, Sterling, VA. No referrals are needed.
    Catholic Charities Leesburg Pantry
    The pantry provides food distributions Monday through Thursday from 9:30am - 2:30pm (closed on Wednesdays at 2pm). No appointments necessary. Food is distributed at the front door and social distancing is practiced. Picture ID and proof of address is required at each visit. Clients may visit the pantry every 30 days. Located at 316 East Market Street, Leesburg, VA (behind Goodyear).
    Sheetz Free Meal Program
    Sheetz locations are providing a free Meal Bagz at all 600 Sheetz locations and will be available daily, while supplies last. The Meal Bagz include a turkey sandwich, chips and a drink. Families interested in taking advantage of the free program can go to any Sheetz location and ask an employee for a meal at the register or through the drive-through. Please see flyer for details.

    Health Resources

    INOVA and Medicaid

    The team at Inova’s Partnership for Healthier Communities (PHC) is committed to providing free, one-on-one help to those who want to learn about, apply for, or renew Medicaid coverage. The PHC team is working as safely as possible during this health emergency and will make sure your Medicaid application process goes as smoothly as possible, every step of the way.     County, Financial & Legal Resources

    Information and Referral Line

    Loudoun County provides an Information and Referral Line for assistance in many areas including food resources, child and adult care assistance, housing services, employment services, medical, dental and mental health and legal assistance. Call 703-777-0420 Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm. Language interpretation services available at no cost.

    Rental Assistance

    Rental assistance through Loudoun Department of Family Services continues to be available. Families need to be able to show loss of income, submit a W-9, paystub, and some type of lease. For those residents without access to a scanner or printer, rental property offices have been helpful about letting tenants use their equipment. Due to need, this rental assistance has been expanded to cover up to 3 months. Call the Loudoun County Information & Referral Hotline at 703-777-0420

    Loss of Income Assistance

    Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Arlington and Loudoun Cares are offering financial support to individuals impacted by COVID-19 that led to a loss of wages or the loss of employment. Individuals who live in Loudoun County and are in need of financial assistance may contact the COVID-19 Emergency Fund and Helpline at 703-669-5040. Callers will need to leave a message; calls will be returned within 48 hours. Financial assistance is limited due to demand. Please see flyer for eligibility information.

    Legal Assistance

    Legal Services of Northern Virginia is a nonprofit law firm providing free legal counsel to the region's low income and neediest populations on matters related to the COVID-19 pandemic. Please see flyer for more details and contact information.

    Internet Resources

    LCPS Provided Mobile Internet Hotspots

    LCPS has made an initial purchase of mobile internet hotspots to help ensure continuity of access to internet-based instructional resources for students and staff during an extended closure. LCPS is prioritizing the distribution of hotspots to students in grades 3-12 to households with the greatest needs, with a limit of one hotspot per household. Hotspot devices could be available for distribution as early as the week of March 23. To request a device, families/staff must: Complete the online form or Call the LCPS Technology Support Center at 571-252-2112 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. weekdays.

    Comcast Free Internet Access

    Comcast is offering their Internet Essentials package free for new, low-income customers for 60 days. For more information and to apply, go to https://www.internetessentials.com/covid19.

    LCPS Continuity of Education

    PASTA Free Virtual Tutoring

    PASTA (Peers and Students Taking Action) has put together a program to offer free virtual tutoring to all interested elementary students in Loudoun County.
