The Loudoun County School Board is the official policy-making body of the Loudoun County Public Schools. It operates under the laws adopted by the General Assembly of Virginia and consistent with regulations adopted by the Virginia Board of Education. School Board members are elected every four years in the November general election with one member elected for each of the eight electoral districts and one member elected at-large. Voters chose Loudoun County’s seventh elected School Board in November 2019 and the members took office January 1, 2020.
Submitting Public Comments for School Board Meetings
While the present state of emergency in the Commonwealth of Virginia persists, and the Loudoun County School Board determines it is necessary to operate under the modified procedures described in the School Board Resolution passed on March 20, 2020, written public comment to the school board will be accepted electronically via this form no later than ten minutes prior to the start of the meeting on the day of the meeting. For example, public comment will not be accepted after 3:50 p.m. for a meeting that begins at 4:00 p.m. Please note that all written comments submitted prior to ten minutes of the meeting start time will be made available to the public and the School Board on the School Board page of the LCPS website at the start of each meeting.
