Hi!  My name is Michelle Iglesias, and your student may recognize my name as a substitute!  Now, I have decided to go back to teaching full time after staying at home to care for my own children!  I graduated with a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education from Northwest Missouri State University with a minor in music, and a Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Missouri-Columbia.  I have taught many ages of students, but for most of my career I taught 5th grade and music, K-6.  

Music and movement are my passion!  I incorporate a lot of these concepts into my lessons!  I have lived many places as an army wife, and so I bring a variety of experiences to the classroom!  I am a mom of 2 kids, Mario and Kelsey.  They are in 5th and 6th grade!  I consider the parent and family perspective when it comes to homework and projects!  Finally, I teach exercise classes too in my free time!  It is good for the mind and body to stay active!  This is my second year teaching 5th grade at Pinebrook, and I am so excited to continue my journey as a Puma!
