Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Miller

My name is Mrs. Kirsten Miller and I am currently entering my 26th year as an elementary school teacher. Kindergarten is a wonderful, new, and exciting time for children and families. Each year proves to be an exciting time for me as well. My family and I moved to Virginia and to the Loudoun County area in 2006 to take advantage of the occupational and educational opportunities that Loudoun County offers.
I spent my first 11 years teaching first grade students in the Toledo Public School System. My first year with Loudoun County Schools I taught Kindergarten at Sully Elementary, than happily moved back into a first grade classroom for 6 years.  I then had the opportunity to transfer closer to my home as a first grade teacher at AES (2013-14 school year).   I am a former graduate from the University of Toledo (Ohio) where I received a Bachelor of Education (1993) and a Masters of Education Degree (2000).  I also hold my reading specialist endorsment.
As a parent, I know how important your child's education is to you.  My goal for your child is to create a safe, fun, and challenging learning environment. I hope together we will be able to achieve this. I look forward to this new year and to meeting you and your children.
