Mrs. Jessica Pineda
Mrs. Pineda is very excited to be on this journey with the Waxpool Elementary School team this school year!
Mrs. Pineda received a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts and Sciences, with a Minor in English and an emphasis on Children’s Literature, from San Diego State University. She then completed a two-year teacher preparation program at SDSU. Most recently, Mrs. Pineda received a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from George Mason University and has acquired her K-12 Administrator Endorsement.
She has taught in public, private, and charter schools on the west and east coasts in the pre-kindergarten, kindergarten, fourth, fifth, and sixth grade levels. She has been teaching in Loudoun County since 2012 and has taught at Sully Elementary and Sterling Elementary. For the past three years in the county, Mrs. Pineda has been an Instructional Facilitator at the elementary and middle school levels.
Mrs. Pineda is originally from San Diego, California, and has lived in the DC area for thirteen years. She has been married for twenty-two years and has two children. This year, her son will be a sophomore studying Aerospace Engineering at San Diego State University. Her daughter will be a senior double majoring in journalism and performance studies at New York University. In her free time she loves to read, hike, bike ride, and travel.
She is looking forward to working and learning with the students and families at Waxpool Elementary School!
