I love helping people find wonderful books to read! My hobbies are walking my dog, Josie, reading books, listening to music, doing crafts, and spending time with my family and friends. My husband and I have three grown children. I am from Long Island, N.Y., and hold a B.A.in English from Stony Brook University and an M.S. in Library and Information Science from The Catholic University of America. I previously taught Language Arts and E.L.L. in Maryland before becoming a school librarian. I am looking forward to seeing YOU in the library this year!
Welcome to the library, a truly magical place! We are so excited to welcome you back and look forward to a wonderful year ahead!
I live in Loudoun County with my husband, two children, and our dog, Lulu. I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, biking, and traveling. I grew up outside of Pittsburgh and attended the University of Pittsburgh where I received my undergraduate degree in Communication Disorders. I hold a Masters Degree in Exceptionalities from Bloomsburg University, and most recently received an endorsement as a Library Media Specialist from Radford University. This is my 21st year in education. Before coming to Belmont Ridge, I worked in Fairfax County as a librarian for six years. Prior to becoming a librarian, I was a special education teacher in Fairfax and Henrico Counties.
I am very excited to be working at Belmont Ridge Middle School and looking forward to another great year. A little about myself, I was born and raised in Pennsylvania. After getting married, I moved with my husband to Texas and then West Virginia before moving to Virginia. I have lived in Loudoun County with my husband and three children since 1997. My first career was in Nursing. After 12 years of working as a nurse, I decided to stay home and raise my three children.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, hiking, going to the gym, and traveling.
