6th and 7th graders MUST have a percussion kit. The percussion kit comes with a bell kit, drum pad, snare sticks, keyboard mallets, and the instrument stand. Please, double check the kit to see if it does have these materials.
Below is an example what I am asking kids to have for class: Example Percussion Kit
8th Grade students are encourgaged to keep their percussion kit at home for practice. 8th Grade Percussion students also need to have a stick bag, with both snare drum sticks, soft yarn & medium mallets, and timpani sticks.Recommendations:- Stick bag: Steve Weiss Liberty Stick Bag- Snare sticks: Vic Firth SD1 Generals- Soft yarn mallets: Innovative IP240- Medium mallets: Malletech BB34- Timpani mallets: Vic Firth T1*You can purchase the above materials as a pack, that costs lest than buying them separately.
