My name is Prabha Rao.

I have been working as a special education teacher for 15 years as a teaching assistant, ECSE teacher and now a K-5 special education teacher for students with multiple disabilities.

I have been a resident of Leesburg for 25 years and have two beautiful daughters and a husband. We love this city and enjoy being a part of the activities during the year. I have an MEd in ECSE and an MEd in Special Education K-12 from George Mason University.

I enjoy working with my students and strive to give them my best! Our classroom also has two teaching assistants, Mrs. Misuk Thompson and Mrs. Sheila Bryant.  They are both wonderful and we all look forward to being at Frederick Douglass for a fantastic year with our students :-)
