Mrs. Beth Lang
MS, NCC, NCSC, LPC
Mrs. Lang is a 1992 Penn State graduate and received her Masters in School Counseling and a certification in Mental Health Counseling from Villanova University in 1996. Mrs. Lang joins our community from the suburban Philadelphia area where she served middle school students and their families for 15 years as a school counselor in the Methacton School District.
As a school counselor in Pennsylvania, Mrs. Lang served her profession as a board member of the Pennsylvania School Counselors Association (PSCA) from 2010-2015, and participated on several counseling leadership committees within the PA Department of Education and the American School Counselors Association.
Mrs. Lang holds her LPC in both Pennsylvania and Virginia, and enjoys supporting youth and young adults as a mental health counselor. She also provides supervision to those seeking licensure in mental health counseling in Virginia.
When her family relocated to Northern Virginia in 2015, Mrs. Lang obtained her license as a Virginia School Counselor and served at the elementary and middle school levels within PWCS and at Commonwealth Academy in Alexandria, VA before joining the school counseling staff at LCPS this year. Mrs. Lang is excited to be a part of the School Counseling staff here at Mercer Middle School as the Middle School Lead Counselor, and as the 7th grade counselor for the Krakens team.
Mrs. Lang is married with two internationally adopted children; her son Aaidan will be a 4th grader at Virginia Run Elementary School and her daughter Annabelle will be a 7th grader at Stone Middle School. Her family also includes two bunnies, Snickers and Hatter, two cats, Shiloh and Sunny, and two turtles, Shelley and Choo Choo. Mrs' Lang loves spending time with her family, kayaking, going to the beach, doing community service work, and participating as a grade level advisor within the National Charity League of Fairfax County.
