Mrs. Wardwell

Hello there!

My name is Briana Wardwell and I am overjoyed to be teaching 5th grade again for the 2023 - 2024 school year! This will be my fifth year teaching at MTE - my second year in 5th grade, and three years in 4th grade previously. I am excited to be co-teaching with Ms. Maher again this year! I will be teaching Math & Science to our students, while she teaches Reading, Writing, and Social Studies to them.

I attended James Madison University’s five-year teaching program and earned a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Art in Teaching. Originally from Cape Cod, Massachusetts - I love the beach and root for the Patriots and Red Sox. In my free time, I like to try new restaurants, adventure in nature, read on my Kindle and listen to music and podcasts!

As a teacher, I strive to help my students build confidence in themselves, instill a love for learning, and cheer them on with both their academic and personal goals. What I love about teaching 5th grade is supporting the students to gain more independence and take ownership of their learning journey as they prepare for Middle School!

I am looking forward to learning about my students and their families!
