Lightridge High School (HS-9) received funding in fiscal year 2018 and will open at the start of the 2020-2021 academic year. The high school will be built using a new two-story high school design prototype. The approximate 305,000 square foot building will serve students in 9th through 12th grades.

With an anticipated program capacity of 1,800 students, the high school will include classrooms, a media center, a cafeteria, an auditorium/theater, main and auxiliary gyms, lighted stadium, baseball and softball fields, lighted tennis courts, as well as practice and physical education fields and track and field facilities.

Lightridge High School will be located on Collaboration Drive in Aldie, Virginia, near both Braddock Road and Northstar Boulevard.  The property is also the future site of an elementary school and Loudoun County public use site.  In conjunction with building the high school, there will be roadway improvements made to Lightridge Farm Road and construction of a traffic roundabout at the intersection of Braddock Road and Lightridge Farm Road.

Due to heavy equipment operations and construction vehicles, all drivers should be aware of new traffic patterns and alternate routes near the property. As this is an active construction site, access is controlled and requires permission from the LCPS Division of Construction Services.

If you have questions regarding the project or after-hours work at this site, please contact the Office of Construction Services at (571) 252-1161.
