Tips for Visiting an Art Museum or Any Museum:

-Research Museum and its current exhibits , additional fees, and photography rules

-Plan where you are going to park in advance or plan how you are getting there and back

-Plan what you are going to do for nourishment and dining

-Dress Comfortably and Wear good walking shoes

-A lot of Museum make you check backpacks- but some allow satchels or sling shoulder backpacks (thats what I use)

-Pack a blank pad of paper and pencils to record thoughts, write down info, and make sketches (museums oftern do not permit pens because of the ink)

-Only Water is allowed in most museums

-Be kind to the Museum Guards and respect all art and artifacts spacial boundaries

    -Be courteaous and respectful

-Plan to be there for several hours

-Its okay to skip certain exhibits to focus on others and its also okay to spend a little time at each exhibit to drink in the musuem experience- its up to you :)

-A study was done that stated on average most people only look at a work of art for 7 seconds- please spend more than 7 seconds looking at pieces that speak to you - spend several minutes discovering all the secrets the work(s) offer- the artist put them there for a resaon: Think about the time of day the work depicts?, What is the artist trying to say?, Did they use warm or cool colors? , What do you think was happening in the scene depicted before and after?

-Maybe do a Scavenger Hunt looking for certain things like a: shoe, balloon, rabbit, crown, spray can, etc.

-Postcards are a cheap and fun way to collect copies of your favorite artworks and exhibits

-Remember this is meant to be an experience for all- Enjoy your time there and relish the adventure

    Have an ARTASTIC TIME!!!!!!
