Guidelines for Grades

  • 4 – Excelling

    The student is self directed and can demonstrate skills and concepts at a highly proficient level. The student's performance shows insightful understanding consistently throughout the unit.

    3 – Achieving (benchmark for on-grade level)

    The student is developing proficiency with skills taught and can apply skills and concepts appropriately. The student's performance shows overall understanding of the material.

     2 – Developing

    The student recalls and uses skills with some consistency. The student's performance shows a limited understanding of the material.

     1 – Needs Improvement

    The student requires significant teacher support. Student responses are limited or incomplete and the student's performance shows lack of understanding.
