Good Morning, Farmwell--it's time for your Green Team Fact of the Week! Did you know that, according to the National Wildlife Federation, 42% of all endangered species are threatened primarily because of an invasive species? Invasive species are plants or animals that do not belong in a certain environment, like the emerald ash borer, which has invaded the Chesapeake region. To protect endangered species, learn how to control the invasive species population. And, as always, remember to reduce, re-use, and recycle!

The Farmwell Science Bowl team finished 5th overall among 20 teams from across the state. Our team placed 1st in their divisional round with wins against all 4 teams and moved in to the elimination rounds facing additional 3 teams. The competition was intense where our team lost by 1 question in one of the elimination rounds. Overall they endured over 220 questions from topics like Earth Science, Physical Science, Life Science, Energy and Math. This was the best performance for the team in the past 3 years and are hoping the future teams will do even better.
Congratulations to ALL! What a wonderful performance, we are so proud of you.
