Professional Development Opportunities for Teachers
Implementing BYOT Successfully in your Classroom
Does your school get LCPS Student Chromebooks next year or the year after? In this session, users will examine best practices of BYOT in the classroom with students in all grade levels. We will examine classroom management ideas and strategies, apps and activities/lessons, as well as the AUP/RUP so that users have an understanding of division policies. We will also examine what BYOT can look like once LCPS Student Chromebooks referred to as Individual Learning Devices (ILDs) are brought into your school. This session is recommended for all teachers, IFTs, and Administrators who are at schools who have not been refreshed with division-wide Individual Learning Devices.
Summer 2019 Sessions will be posted soon!
BYOT and Student Chromebooks, NOT BYOT or Student Chromebooks
How does BYOT help student engagement if your students have LCPS Chromebooks? In this session, users will examine what BYOT looks like in a classroom where students have an LCPS Student Chromebook referred to as an Individual Learning Device (ILD) to use in class. We will discuss and examine the question, “Why do I need BYOT?” in addition to examining classroom management ideas and strategies, and lessons/activities where BYOT helps in an ILD environment. This session is recommended for all teachers, IFTs, School Administrators, and division wide Administrators.
Our last Spring 2019 Session will be on Tuesday, May 28 - 12:30-3:30 pm in Room 500 at the Administration Building. Please sign up in My Learning Plan today!
