Unified Mental Health Team...

**During the school closure, please use this link to access mental health resources: https://www.lcps.org/domain/31226

If you are severely concerned about your child’s mental health needs during this time, we now have a streamlined way you can reach out to ask questions or request assistance. LCPS has created a list of Unified Mental Health Teams by school, with email addresses which parents can use to access all members of the Unified Mental Health Team at their school (i.e., school counselors, school psychologist, school social worker, student assistance specialist).

You can find Blue Ridge’s team and the email address here: https://bit.ly/BRMUMHT.

Each LCPS middle school has a Unifed Mental Health Team. The purpose of the Unified Mental Health Team at Blue Ridge is to promote and support the social, emotional, and behavioral health of all students. According to the World Health Organization, mental health is “a state of well-being in which the individual realizes his or her abilities, can cope with the normal stresses of life, can work productively and fruitfully, and is able to make a contribution to his or her community.” We believe that mental health is vital for all students to be successful in school and in life. The Blue Ridge Unified Mental Health Team is committed to supporting the broader needs of its students to maximize student success.
