    Term of Office: Ms. Croll was appointed to the School Board in 2018; her term of office will expire on December 31,2019.

  • With executive experience spanning multiple industries over 25 years, Chris Croll has forged an impressive record as a get-it-done leader who excels in complex corporate, startup, independent consulting and non-profit environments. Chris’ combination of strategic vision and program execution makes her an indispensable resource for executives and Board members in the technology, education, risk management, entertainment, communications and publishing industries. Chris has deep expertise in content marketing and original digital content development, and she is a subject matter expert in gifted and twice-exceptional children.


    Chris has worked for a number of top tier companies including Network Solutions, America Online, Gartner, The Walt Disney Company, Qwest Communications and several startups and nonprofits. Chris founded the National Center for Gifted Services, the nonprofit Loudoun County Parents of Gifted Students and she serves on the Loudoun County Public School Board.


    Chris writes an education column for LoudounNow newspaper, she is a feature writer for a regional lifestyle magazine and she is working on her first book.


    Chris holds a Master of Professional Studies degree in Interactive Telecommunications (ITP) from New York University and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Communications from Ithaca College. She studied immersive Japanese at Cornell University and sailed on the Institute for Shipboard Education program, “Semester At Sea.”


    Chris and her husband of 20 years live in Leesburg, Virginia and she is mom to two boys and a rescue dog named Luna.

    Committee Assignments: Ms. Croll chairs the Communications and Outreach Committee, and serves on the Curriculum and Instruction Committee, the Human Resources and Talent Development Committee, the Ad Hoc Committee on Equity and the Ad Hoc Committee on Special Education. She also serves as the liaison to the Special Education Advisory Committee (SEAC) and is the alternate to the School Business Partnership Executive Council.
