    • Ever thought about studying abroad? Summer 2020 could be your chance. The Council on International Educational Exchange (CIEE) will be at the Academies of Loudoun on November 18 and 19 to share information about how you can study, science, business, entrepreneurship and STEM in such exotic locations as Portugal, Australia, Costa Rica, and Spain. Join us in the auditorium during lunch for more information!

    • This Thursday evening see a demonstration of a surgical robot as well as student-built robots from RoboLoCo and Loudoun County Day School at the Stone Springs Hospital Center in Dulles. There will be refreshment and live robot stuff from 6-8pm this Thursday Nov 21st.

    • The Cosmetology Department is hosting a Salon Day Tuesday November 19th from 10:00-6:00 and Wednesday November 20th from 10:00-3:00. Come get hair services as well as manicures and pedicures for the Holiday and be Thankful for looking good!

    • GJ Club strives to provide an inclusive environment for LGBT+ students and allies.
      Members will participate in meaningful discussions about historical and current LGBT+ issues, support LGBT+ organizations, and explore LGBT+ pop culture. The interest meeting will be on Wednesday, November 20 and Thursday, November 21 in room 1302 during lunch.

    • The Research Library has even more to offer with new access to digital resources. Join the library's google classroom for access to e-books, digital subscriptions, and limited remote user access. See fliers around the building for the access code.

    • The RESET club meeting will be this Friday in room 2407. Anyone interested in developing activities and demos to interest younger students in STEM is invited to attend.

    • There is a Yearbook Club meeting on Tuesday November 19 and Wednesday November 20 at 12:50PM in Room 2404!

    • Today the Office of Elections will be offering voter registration and information about voting next year in the Presidential Primary Election in March and the Presidential Election November 3, 2020.

    •  If you are currently 17 years old today, but turn 18 years old by November 3, 2020 and you know your social security number, you can apply to register to vote. The election staff will be at the bottom of the learning stairs during lunch today, to answer any question you may have and register you to vote.

    • The Veterinary Science classes are requesting your assistance in donating supplies for the Loudoun County Animal Shelter. They will be travelling there for an instructional field trip and would like to say thanks from ACL. Cleaning supplies, foods for all domestic animals will be accepted. Please place in bins provided in the lobby.

    • Intrigued by Nerusurgery? Join us for another Science Away from the Bench discussion entitled Neurosurgery: Treating Brain Diseases with the Precision of a Car Mechanic.
