Expunging of Grades and Credits for Credit-Bearing Courses Taken by Middle School StudentsIf your child has taken a high school credit-bearing course while in middle school (such as Algebra, Geometry, or any World Language) you may elect to have the grade expunged from the high school record. To “expunge” means to completely erase record of the course taken and grade earned. Only failing grades will automatically be expunged. You MUST complete and submit the expunge form to expunge a course. The form will be included in all final report cards for all middle school students, and can also be found by clicking here.Once a grade is “expunged” it is removed from the academic record and will not be counted in the GPA or count towards credit for graduation. The decision to expunge is irreversible. If your student is a current sixth grader please submit the completed form to your student’s middle school counselor by August 15th, 2020.If your student is a current seventh or eighth grader, please submit to Willard counseling office on or before August 15, 2020.
