I am super excited to be your second grade teacher this school year! This is my 6th year teaching here at   Sugarland Elementary. I graduated   from George Mason University with a Bachelors degree in Integrative   Studies with a concentration in Elementary Education. I then continued   on in my path by receiving my   Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction also from GMU. I grew up in Fairfax County and currently live   close by in  Loudoun County. When I am not teaching or planning lessons, I enjoy taking long walks with my   dogs, Juno  and Violet, and   spending time with my family and friends.

I plan to create a classroom community where students feel comfortable, respected, and inspired to grow as   learners. I will encourage   students to have a growth mindset by teaching them the skills they need to tackle   the problems they are faced with. I am looking forward to   getting to know your children and working with you   throughout the school year.
