Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Nichols

Dear Students and Families,

My name is Mrs. Nichols.  I am a Pennsylvania native but have lived in Virginia since 2006.  This will be my 17th year teaching science and 14th teaching science in Loudoun County.  I have a BA in Biology from Washington and Jefferson College, a BS in Secondary Education and a MEd in Teaching and Learning from Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania.  I am certified in Biology, Earth Science, and Middle School Science 6-8.  In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family crocheting, traveling, gardening, and being creative.

This year in science students will be asked to think critically and take an active role in their learning. I will be challenging them to think outside the box and follow their curiosity to deepen their appreciation of the scientific process. Students will be asked to think critically and participate in conversations that link content to relevant real-world situations.
I am super excited to get to know you all this school year.
